These take their inspiration from the low alcohol honey brews made by the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. (Called Alu by the Anglo Saxons and the origin of our word Ale.) Flavoured with herbs and spices or fruit these were the go-to brew for the everyday drink.
Drinking
The classic ginger flavours lingers with some honey richness and aroma. Makes a great ‘Dark and Stormy’ when mixed with spiced rum.
