Here at Wanderer Mead we are always experimenting and making small batches which we like to release as special brews. Sometimes we do this to trial ideas and sometimes we make small batches when we only have access to small quantities of special ingredients. They will include everything from Session Meads to liquers and spirits.

Wanderer - Huonville Crab Apple Cyser
(A Cyser is a combination of apples and honey)
This cyser makes use of the apples we picked from our small orchard of Huonville Crab Apples. These special Tasmanian apples are a cross between a true crab apple and Granny Smith apples. Small and tart as an eating apple they are also pink right through. The juice is bright red. They made an intriguing cyser blended with Tasmanian Meadow honey. Quite a bit of tanin but rich with honey and apple tartness. A taste of last season 2024.
